2. Animal Print

2. Animal Print
"An animal-print accessory is an opportunity to be a little bold. It allows you to throw in that slight element of danger on an otherwise safe outfit and let the world know there i more to you than meets the eye. A full-on leopard-print dress, on the other hand, sends the clear message that you are no wallflower, you are a force to be reckoned with."

- Nina Garcia, The One Hundred

Who doesn't love a good animal print. Unfortnately if you don't have the money it's hard to get a good piece with pedigree like Nina suggests. However, there is hope! Check out some of my favorite pieces below on sale now. One shortcoming is that I couldn't find a good ostrich piece. :( On the bright side, Ann Taylor has a great collection out right now, and although the pieces aren't blatant examples of animal prints I love the artistic take on them. Also, the Leopard print dress by Spiegel is favorite from the Wendy Williams Show. If you aren't currently watching Wendy, add it to your DVR and check it out. Even if you don't like celeb gossip it's worth it just to watch her wardrobe. Love her, check it out! The Wendy Williams Show

Nina's Tips to Remember:
  • Wear one piece at a time.
  • Keep everything else simple.
  • Go for muted colors.

A is for A-line...The first piece in the book is the A-line dress. I'm sure if you looked in your closet you would find that you own at least one dress with an A-line skirt. But do you own a complete A-line dress? An A-line dress is so named because it starts off narrow at the neckline and broadens out toward the bottom hemline, forming the shape of an A. Check out these A-Line dresses on sale now to get this piece.

The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own: Get your copy!

Hi everyone!
I had a great epiphany the other day.  I loved the movie Julie and Julia and wanted to do something similar but in the only way I know how, through clothes!  So in this page I will go through the entire book of Nina Garcia's The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own and show you where you can get all the pieces discussed in the book.  I absolutely love this book and recommend it for yourself or a gift to your favorite fashionista.

Get your copy of the book at so you can follow along with me!  Strapped for cash? I first read this book by renting it from my local library.  Look up your local library for a copy.
